Dr. Kostelny was born and raised in Easton.
She attended Delaware Valley University where she graduated with a B.S in biology. After graduation she moved to the Midwest and received her degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri. Before moving back to the Lehigh Valley, she completed a one-year comparative medicine internship at the University of Illinois Chicago.
Dr. Kostelny has been a part of Cummings Veterinary Hospital since 2014.
On her career path of receiving her DVM, she has held several positions within the hospital including reception, veterinary assistant, and veterinary nurse. She joined the practice as a DVM earlier this year.
She has a passion for exotic companion mammals and has three bunnies of her own. A rambunctious Mini Rex named Daisy, a sweet Lion Head named Beamer, and a strong-willed Lion Head named Snowy.
She hopes to bring her knowledge of rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, and chinchillas to the practice in the near future.
