Dr. Danyi was born and raised in Bethlehem and is a graduate of Freedom High School.
She attended the University of Delaware as an animal science major, then transferred to Moravian College where she graduated with a B.S. in biology with honors in 1987. Dr. Danyi received her V.M.D from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine in 1991. Upon graduation, Dr. Danyi returned to the Lehigh Valley to join Northside Animal hospital, where she practiced until 2003. Dr. Danyi joined Dr. Cummings at Cummings Veterinary Hospital in 2006.
While enjoying all aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Danyi especially values the bond veterinarians develop with their clients and patients. She has a keen interest in helping clients to better understand their pets’ behaviors.
Dr. Danyi lives in Nazareth with her husband, Scott Heckman, and enjoys visits from her two daughters and their pets. Over the years, her furry family has included English bulldogs, retired greyhounds, guinea pigs, beta fish and a horse. She currently shares her home with several hypoallergenic Siberian cats and some very sweet Cavalier King Charles spaniels. Dr. Danyi enjoys planning trips and traveling, collecting beach glass, reading a good book and walking her dogs.
