Dr. Sweney was born and raised in Hillsborough, New Jersey.
She received her B.S. in animal science and minor in companion animal science from Rutgers University in 2017. Dr. Sweney flew to the island of St. Kitts where she attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed her clinical year at Colorado State University and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Dr. Sweney then moved back to the NJ/PA area to start her career as a veterinarian.
In her spare time, Dr. Sweney loves spending time outdoors, hiking, traveling, and listening to music. She currently lives with her dog, a Jack Russell Mix, named Sadie and her three cats, Mia, Kali, and her island cat Gatsby.
